Mansfield Sand is pleased to announce that the company has won two awards at the 2021 MPA & British Precast Health & Safety Awards – ‘The Sir Frank Davies Trophy’ and ‘Maintenance and Housekeeping Award (Brickworks – Safe Kiln Access and inspection project)’, which recognise the industry’s drive to ‘vision zero’.
The prestigious Sir Frank Davies Trophy recognises organisations which have demonstrated an exceptional health and safety performance, while the maintenance and Housekeeping Award is a Topic Award – ‘Helping to make the industry safer for everyone.’
Mark Roberts also won an award for Individual Recognition in Improving Health and Safety.
Hosted by BBC presenter Sybil Ruscoe, the event was also the first to combine entries from both MPA and British Precast members, with this year’s categories upgraded following feedback from the membership.
Prizes were awarded in recognition of companies and individuals who have taken action on the ground and shown strong leadership by deploying good practices and innovations, demonstrating their commitment to Vision Zero.
Commenting on the awards, Mansfield Sand Managing Director Richard Abraham said: “I wish to congratulate each and every one of our team as I realise how much hard work and effort goes into making our sites a healthier and safer environment. Your contributions are highly valued – well done everybody!”
The recent MPA & British Precast Health & Safety Awards follow the company’s success of winning Company of the Year at the Nottinghamshire Live Business Awards 2021.
